Taking your info from an old computer to a new one is complicated.  We have to get all the data you want from the old one, transfer it to the new one, and install all the necessary programs you need.

Prior to arrival, you need to have all the software and information that you use on your current computer, usually:

• Microsoft Office CD (Contains MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• QuickBooks/Quicken CD (if you use this)
• CDs for other programs you use

• Email Addresses and Passwords: ________________________________________
• iTunes Account info and passwords and all iPods (if you use this)
• Are you using an old Parallel Printer which you may not be able to use on new PC?
• Printer Disks (saves time if you have them, ok if you don’t)
• Do you share this printer with other computers in the house?  Yes     No
• Blank DVDs for Making Recovery DVD’s (Optional, Tech can bring some)
• The Client is strongly encouraged to be present during the entire process with the technician to watch and learn about what is being done and why.

The Technician will Check Physical Workspace: (3 min)

• Check computer area for loose cables and proper placement
• Eliminate wires and cables if possible
• Discuss and check surge protector and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to make sure cables are plugged securely and properly.

The Technician will Transfer Data: 10 minutes to 2 Hours

This depends on Music, Emails and Pictures: 10,000 songs takes about 1 hour by itself
