An annual computer tune-up is necessary preventative maintenance that extends computer lifespan, protects your files and photos, and optimizes your speed. We are offering $20 off our normal rate of $99 through September 30th.
Our Monthly Managed Care customers have many of these features done automatically, but seeing the computers in-person will let us see some issues we can’t see remotely. We are taking $40 off for our Managed Care and Complete Care Customers.
A Windows tune up includes:
- Running DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) to find and repairs the built-in master repair files built into Windows
- Running SFC (System File Checker) to find and repairs the current Windows files in use
- Running a Utility to make sure the drive is physically stable and healthy to read and write
- Running Disk Cleanup to temporary and junk files
- Remove Unnecessary startup programs to increase speed
- Remove Unnecessary programs that used to be safe but are security issues (like FlashPlayer, QuickTime, and Silverlight)
- Do all Windows Security updates, Driver Updates, and Manufacturer Updates
- Check the status of your antivirus
- Check the status of your backup
- Check to see if you have any remote programs running
- Quick 3-minute scan for clear spyware, browser hijackers, Potentially Unwanted Pop-up Programs, and “Bloatware”
— If we notice many items on the previous scan, we will let you know and see if you want to add a complete spyware scan for $75 extra (Normally a full-spyware removal is $175) It would include inspecting each browser for bad extensions, a Full Scan and remediation with Malwarebytes and a Full Virus Scan.
Then, we can install our Free Remote Monitoring of your hard drive, so we can tell if there’s a potential problem before it happens.
