Social Security Recommendation
Starting March 29, 2025, the Social Security Administration is requiring people who haven’t signed up for an online account to sign in or there is a “CHANCE” that your benefits will be delayed.
It’s been 30 days since they announced that, so I would get on this ASAP.
I believe they are confirming you are a real, living human and might flag you if you don’t do this.
YES, www.ssa.gov is “THE” government website, and it is safe to put in your social security number here. “Note www. ssa. com is a fraud site, so type it correctly with GOV not COM!”
So, we suggest logging in no matter what your age or benefits you are currently receiving. A senior who came in recently said “I’m not getting social security benefits because I worked in government and get a pension.” But, I suggest taking 5 minutes to do this anyway because on January 5, 2025, they made it that you can receive BOTH your government pension PLUS SS benefits.
